Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Horse engine house depicted on rear of barn forming part of the range of buildings on the western side of the farmyard.

Site visit August 1980. Horse engine in a roundhouse at the redundant farmstead at Mildon's Leigh. The roundhouse is intact and part of the machinery survives. The pillar is askew and the wooden shafts are decayed, but the wheel, lantern wheel and iron shafting into threshing barn are intact. The barn walls, which are of cob, and the roofs are part decayed.
