Summary

Linear cropmark ditches which overlie Raddon Hill hillfort MDV29729, Shobrooke, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1989 and 1990. The cropmarks have been interpreted as former medieval or post-medieval field boundaries.

Transcriptions of ditches correspond to the grid reference for PRN166417.

Ditched field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1), overlying the prehistoric enclosure described in CIN 29729. They are considered likely to be medieval or later in origin and were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
