Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Farmstead depicted. Groups of buildings are shown arounnd the north-west, north-east and south-west sides of a large square yard. The dwelling house is to the north-east of the yard, adjacent to a lane or track. On the opposite side of the lane is another farm building. A larger building is also shown alongside a track or lane to the south-west of the main complex.

Borough Farm marked. Comparison with the tithe map shows a new range of farm buildings to the north-west of the farmhouse, including a horse engine house. The farm buildings on the south side of the yard and lane have gone as has that to the south-west.
