Dark sinuous cropmarks are visible.

Dark sinuous cropmarks of levelled ditches are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1984, on east facing slopes of a combe within Rill Wood, Buckfastleigh. The diffuse cropmarks define a sub-rectangular area which measures approximately 60m in length by 38m in width and are interpreted as a possible enclosure of prehistoric or Romano-British date. The presence of numerous cropmark enclosures identified within this area adds support to this interpretation. The cropmarks are not visible on other aerial photographs or digital imagery made available to the survey.
