Linear earthwork banks interpreted as former medieval or post-medieval field boundaries are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the northwest of Lower Combe, Staverton. The linear earthworks, up to 7.5m in width, do not correspond with any field boundaries shown on the 1845 Parish Tithe Map, or subsequent available historic maps, which supports the interpretation that the field boundaries had passed out of use prior to the mid-19th century. A field boundary which is located near to and parallel with the northern of the two earthworks possible represents a later phase of boundary construction.
