Two curvilinear earthwork banks, approximately 6.5m in width, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at Tidwell, Staverton. The earthworks closely respect the historic field patterns depicted on the 1845 Parish Tithe Map characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields, although do not correspond with any features shown on this map, or on subsequent historic maps made available to the survey. The cropmarks are therefore interpreted as a field boundary of potential medieval date which had likely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
