Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

A linear earthwork bank, approximately 2m wide and interpreted as a relict medieval field boundary is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1995 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the east of Beara Farm, Staverton. The earthwork closely respects the historic field patterns depicted on the 1845 Parish Tithe Map characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields. Only the eastern extent of the earthwork corresponds with a field boundary on this map, suggesting that its remaining length had passed out of use by this time.
