Two linear earthwork ditches, approximately 10m in width and interpreted as relict medieval or post-medieval field boundaries are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the northeast of Blackler Barton, Broadhempston. The parallel north to south aligned earthworks closely respect the historic field patterns shown on the 1841 Parish Tithe, although do not correspond with any field boundaries shown on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps. This supports the interpretation that the field boundaries had likely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
