Earthwork banks and a ditch are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1995 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the south of Parkfield, Staverton. The linear earthworks are northeast to southwest and east to west aligned and occupy a single irregular shaped land parcel shown on the 1845 Parish Tithe Map, although the earthworks do not correspond with any features on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps. They are interpreted as relict field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval date which define a series of small rectilinear shaped land parcels which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
