A cropmark of a possible mound is visible on aerial photographs of 1946.

A roughly circular cropmark and possible slight earthwork of a mound is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 on the west-facing slopes of Gilpin’s Bottom, Kenton. Approximately 20m in diameter, the cropmark is interpreted as possible evidence of a levelled or near levelled barrow of Bronze Age date. The cropmark is not visible under dense tree cover on more recent sources.
