Linear earthwork banks and rectilinear and oval shaped mounds are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, within two adjacent land parcels to the south of Tor, Woodland parish. The rectilinear and oval shaped mounds, which measure between 25m to 30m in length, are interpreted as possible platforms of former medieval or post-medieval buildings likely associated with the settlement at Tor (MDV17746). A settlement at Tor is shown on the 1840 Parish Tithe Map, although the earthworks do not correspond with any features on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps, supporting the interpretation that the buildings had been demolished by this time. A linear earthwork bank to the north of the platforms represents an associated field boundary which had largely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
