An oval earthwork pit, circa 35m in length by 15m in width, with outer bank to the east and west, up to 20m wide, and interpreted as a possible post-medieval or 19th century extractive pit is visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the northwest of Parkfield Farm, Staverton. The earthworks do not correspond with any pit features on the available 19th century mapping, supporting the interpretation that the extractive pit had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century.
