A low mound is visible as a subtle earthwork.

The possible mound is obscured by dense tree cover.

A mound circa 45m in diameter is visible as a very subtle earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 to the north of Big Wood, Kenn. A possible ditch circa 5m wide is visible enclosing the eastern edge of the mound; it cannot be identified on the western edge.
The earthwork is interpreted as the possible remains of a funerary monument, possibly a cairn, of later prehistoric date. The mound is obscured by dense plantation cover on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2016.
