Parallel linear hollows are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as earthworks crossing the contours of the south-east facing slopes at Clumpit Wood, Kenton. The earthworks are interpreted as evidence of pre-enclosure activity, possibly the remains of former trackways, potentially of medieval date. The earthworks are obscured from view by dense tree cover on more recent images. It is probable the earthworks extend north and south of the transcribed features.
