A cropmark of a ditch almost 2m wide and 40m long is visible on aerial photographs of 1984, on the south-facing slopes north-east of Ash Farm, Kenton. The date and function of the ditch are unknown, but it may predate the surrounding field system, which has been characterised by HLC as being probably of medieval origin.
