Two linear and parallel earthwork ditches, circa 8m in width, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the west of Cross Park, Broadhempston. The earthworks closely respect the historic field pattern depicted in this location on the 1841 Parish Tithe Map and characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields, although do they not correspond with any linear features on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps. They are therefore interpreted as relict medieval field boundaries which define a narrow rectilinear shaped land parcel, and which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
