Parallel linear earthwork banks, approximately 3 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1950. They are aligned cross-contour and depicted as orchard on the late-19th century OS map. The earthworks are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century banks for fruit tree cultivation, and trees were still visible in this plot on the 1940s aerial photographs. Although most have been removed it is possible that a few fruit trees may survive.
