Two curvilinear earthwork banks, circa 2 metres wide and 5.5 metres apart, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2010 and 2015, and on digital images visualised from photogrammetrically derived elevation data captured in 2015. They fit closely into the surrounding field pattern and are interpreted as relict field boundaries; their curvilinear shape indicates a likely medieval origin. Neither are depicted on the Tithe map, when this plot was named ‘Archet Orchard’, and any field boundary here probably went out of use before the mid-19th century.
