Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

2 Fields called 'Higher Quarry Close' (plot 737) and 'Lower Quarry Close' (plot 736) shown on 1838-48 Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments. Indicates the presence of a quarry, but there is no such feature marked in the immediate vicinity.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Fields are still visible, however it is unclear if the field names still apply on Ordnance Survey 1880s-90s First Edition mapping. No quarry is marked in this area.

Two fields called 'Lower Quarry Close' and 'Higher Quarry Close' to North and South of NGR given on 1839 Tithe Apportionment and c. 1840 Tithe Map (plot Nos 736-7) may indicate the presence of an otherwise unknown quarry.
