Full description

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1993-1998, Dartmoor Royal Forest Project (Report - Survey). SDV346608.

(11/07/1994) Centred SX 58787817. An alignment of tin pits form a roughly east to west line between SX 58877815 and SX 58697815. The pits follow the line of a slight natural declivity in the crest and moderate east-facing slope of the ridge above the right bank of the Cowsic River. On average the pits are 5.0 metres in diameter and 1.0 metre deep with spoil heaps on their downslope sides.
