Linear earthwork banks, between 10-25m in width, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the west of Coppa Dolla Farm, Broadhempston. The plough-spread earthworks are broadly north to south and east to west aligned and define a number of narrow, rectilinear enclosures. The earthworks are in keeping with the historic field patterns depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields. They do not correspond with any linear features shown on this map, or on later available historic maps and so are therefore interpreted as relict field boundaries of medieval date which had completely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
