Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

A single pale cropmark visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 1999 which corresponds with the eastern of two earthwork ditches visible on lidar imagery captured between 1998 and 2017, were recorded to the north of Dyer’s Wood, Woodland. The linear earthworks are north to south aligned and are in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is characterised as post-medieval enclosures. They do not correspond with any linear features shown on this map, or on later available historic maps and so are therefore interpreted as relict field boundaries of possible post-medieval date, which had completely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
