A mound and shallow pit are visible as earthworks.

An oval mound circa 19m by 12m in size is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017 as an earthwork on the north-west facing slopes to the south-east of Beardon Farm, Ashton. A shallow pit, probably not of sufficient size to produce the mound material, is visible at the north-west tip of the mound. The date and function of the pit are unknown, but it is possible they are associated with the lime kiln circa 140m to the south-east.
