Summary
A C-shaped earthwork bank is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as on the north-west edge of Exeter Racecourse, Great Haldon, Kenn. The earthwork occupied a prominent position on a north-east facing spur on Great Haldon. It is interpreted as a possible ring cairn of Bronze Age date.

A C-shaped bank is visible as an earthwork.

A C-shaped bank is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as a roughly circular earthwork approximately 15 metres in diameter on the north-east facing slopes of Great Haldon, Kenn. A break is visible on the southern side of the bank, allowing access to a central hollow circa 8 metres across. The earthwork is interpreted as a possible ring cairn of Bronze Age date. The bank was probably levelled during landscaping and access works at Exeter Racecourse. A larger mound, possibly a barrow, was visible approximately 35 metres to the north-east.
