Cropmarks of two parallel linear ditches up to circa 2 metres wide and circa 8 metres apart are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2002 to the south-west of the summit of the hill to the north-west of Beardon Farm, Ashton. The cropmarks may be evidence of a former road or track, potentially of medieval date. Alternatively, the cropmarks may be of natural origin, possibly geological along the ridge of the hill.
