Linear earthwork banks and ditches, between 6-15m in width are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1986 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the north of Wrenwell Cross, Denbury and Torbryan. The earthworks are northeast to southwest aligned and are in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields, although do not correspond with any linear features shown on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps. They are therefore interpreted as relict field boundaries of potential medieval date which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
