Environment Agency, 1998-2017, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution) EA: South Devon Coast to Dartmoor, LIDAR SX8268 Environment Agency DTM 01-JAN-1998 to 31-MAY-2017 (Cartographic). SDV361470.

Earthwork ditches and a bank are visible.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Earthworks of ditches and a bank, between 6-12m in width, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the west of Fairfield Farm, Denbury and Torbryan. The three linear earthworks are northwest to southeast and east to west aligned and are in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields. With the exception of the eastern-most ditch, the earthworks do not correspond with any linear features on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps and are therefore interpreted as possible relict field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval date which had almost completely passed out of use by the mid-19th century. Linear earthwork banks (MDV122798) visible to the immediate east of these field boundaries are not obviously associated and so have been recorded as a separate monument.
