Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Dark linear cropmarks which have formed over levelled ditches, circa 1.5m wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1984 and on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2010, on gentle southeast facing slope to the northwest of Abbotshill, Abbotskerswell. The visible cropmarks partly define a rectilinear enclosure which measures circa 35m square, with three angular corners. The northern extent is not perceptable. The form and character of the enclosure support the interpretation that it is of potential prehistoric or Romano-British date. An additional, but less convincing, cropmark enclosure has also been recorded circa 250m to the south.
