Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Two roughly circular mounds approximately 25m and 31m in diameter were visible as low earthworks under light tree planting on aerial photographs of 1946, on the on the south-east facing slopes of Great Haldon to the north-east of Harcombe, Chudleigh. The visible earthworks are interpreted as evidence of possible barrows of Bronze Age date.
The plot in which the mounds were visible has been cleared and planted as a plantation on aerial photographs of 1979, and the mounds could not be identified as earthworks. A forestry track may cut the northern edge of the northernmost mound. It is probable that they have been levelled, although sub-surface features may survive.
