Summary

Lashingcott Plantation, formerly Furze Park Plantation, is clearly visible covering a large area of land on late 19th century mapping. The plantation appears to have been in use up until the late 20th century, however, modern mapping now depicts the area as a large field.

Plot 86 is named 'Furze Park Plantation' on 1838-48 Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

The plantation appears to have expanded significantly into surrounding fields and is now marked as Lashingcott Plantation on Ordnance Survey 1880-90s First Edition mapping.

The area is still named Lashingcott Plantation on Ordnance Survey 1963-96 National Grid Metric mapping.
