Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Plot 86 is named 'Furze Park Plantation' on 1838-48 Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

The plantation appears to have expanded significantly into surrounding fields and is now marked as Lashingcott Plantation on Ordnance Survey 1880-90s First Edition mapping.

Ordnance Survey, 1963-1996, 1963-1996 National Grid OS Metric (Cartographic). SDV350058.

The area is still named Lashingcott Plantation on Ordnance Survey 1963-96 National Grid Metric mapping.

Chris Blandford Associates, 1998, Preliminary Environmental Assessment Report: Mid Devon (Report - Assessment). SDV361743.

The field which slops from west to east was sown to winter cereals. The fields shown on the Tithe Map and Ordnance Survey 1887 25" map have been removed so that the area forms one large field. There appear to be no surface irregularities.

GetMapping, 1999 - 2000, Millennium Map 1999-2000 Getmapping (Aerial Photograph). SDV321648.

1999-2000 aerial photographs show that the area is no longer a plantation. Instead the photographs show a large field with trees on its boundaries.

Ordnance Survey, 2018, MasterMap 2018 (Cartographic). SDV360652.

The area is no longer named and the map depicts a large field.
