'Eadda's Burh' identified as an earthwork in Little Castle and Great Castle fields on the Tithe Map. High banked southern hedge of Great Castle field may be part of original defence. Site occupies a knoll. On the west and southwest sides there are steep cliffs naturally. On the eastern side an ancient road runs, possibly contemporary. Possible date first century BC. To west the modern farm is known as Edbury or Yeadbury.
