Full description

Holley, S., 2006, A Survey of the Charcoal-burning Platforms at Goodameavy, Devon, C7, 10, 23, 28-30, Plan + Photographs (Report - Survey). SDV360386.

Site visited on 20th march 2006. Charcoal burning platform on the bank of the River Plym in Dewerstone Wood in good condition. Roughly circular of 5 metres diameter with spoil deposited in banks around the platform. Large area of clitter and large boulders uphill behind the platform. A riverside path runs through the platform.
