A series of broad, parallel earthwork banks, circa 13m wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2013, at West Ogwell Barton, Ogwell. The slight curvilinear and linear earthworks are northnorthwest to southsoutheast aligned, occupy an area of circa 2.3 hectares and are situated on gentle southwest facing slope. The earthworks do not correspond with any linear features shown in this location on the available 19th or 20th century mapping. Their form and character support the interpretation that they represent the remains of medieval ridge and furrow.
