Linear banks, circa 3m wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1986 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, off Ogwell Road, Ogwell. The north to south aligned parallel earthworks are in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields, although they do not correspond with any linear features on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps. They are therefore interpreted as relict medieval field boundaries which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
