A group of 22 sub-circular and sub-oval shaped mounds, between 2m-7m in length, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, on a limestone plateau at East Ogwell, Ogwell. The mounds, three of which are associated with small pits, are centred at SX84407050; SX84417031 and SX84377018, within field system MDV19206. They are interpreted as possible clearance cairns of prehistoric or Romano-British date associated with this field system and are similar in character and setting to other possible clearance cairns recorded further to the south as part of this survey, such as MDV122743, MDV122748 and MDV122749.
