Linear and sub-oval shaped earthwork banks, between 8-60m long and circa 5m wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1986 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at Foxley, Ogwell. The earthworks do not correspond with any features shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is shown as unenclosed land, or on subsequent available historic maps. They are of largely uncertain origin, although are tentatively interpreted as the truncated remains of relict field boundaries of prehistoric or Romano-British, or possible medieval date.
