A series of broad, parallel earthwork banks, circa 12m wide, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at Combe, Bickington. The slight curvilinear and linear earthworks are northwest to southeast aligned, occupy an area of circa 0.90 hectares and are situated on south facing slope. The earthworks do not correspond with any linear features shown in this location on the available 19th or 20th century mapping. Their form and character support the interpretation that they represent the possible remains of medieval ridge and furrow.
