Earthworks are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the west of Bearah, Ogwell. The earthworks comprise an east to west aligned curvilinear ditch, circa 16m wide, which is flanked on each side by banks, circa 7m wide. Additional linear ditches which extend from these earthworks are visible to the northeast and south. With exception of a small section of bank to the north and ditches to the south, the earthworks do not correspond with any curvilinear or linear features shown in this location on the available 19th and early 20th century mapping. The character of the earthworks offers some support to the interpretation that they represent evidence of a possible former medieval or post-medieval trackway or road, with associated field boundaries. The former routeway, which possibly connects the road from Bearah to the road crossing at Kester Brook, and a number of the associated field boundaries had evidently passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
