A curvilinear earthwork ditch, circa 3m wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1983 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at Morley, Newton Abbot. The northwest to southeast aligned earthwork is in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is characterised as medieval enclosures, although it does not correspond with any curvilinear features on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps. It is therefore interpreted as a relict medieval or post-medieval field boundary which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
