Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Linear earthworks of a bank, circa 9m wide, flanked on either side by ditches, circa 3m wide, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the southwest of Mead Farm, Newton Abbot. The north to south aligned earthworks broadly respects the historic field pattern depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields, although do not correspond with any linear features on this map, or on subsequent available historic maps. They are therefore interpreted as a relict bank and double-ditched field boundary of medieval or post-medieval date which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
