A linear earthwork ditch, northwest to southeast aligned and circa 8m wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946, to the east of Otter Court, Ilsington. The earthwork does not correspond with any linear features shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps, although a row of trees is shown here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. It is broadly in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location and characterised as post-medieval enclosures with medieval elements and is therefore interpreted as a relict medieval or post-medieval field boundary which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century. The earthwork is not visible on the available aerial imagery after 1946 and has possibly since been levelled.
