Earthworks of an oval shaped banked enclosure, circa 42m long by 35m wide, with internal pit, circa 17m long by 12m wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2017, to the east of Greenhill Farm, Newton Abbot. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping and are interpreted as a possible post-medieval or early 19th century extractive pit, with associated spoil heap, which had likely passed out of use by the late 19th century.
