The visible earthworks correspond in part with boundaries depicted on the OS 1880s First Edition map.

The visible earthworks correspond in part with field boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but are evidence of a wider field pattern of probable medieval origin that was largely cleared prior to circa 1840.
