Curvilinear banks are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 and images derived from lidar data captured in 2013, as roughly parallel earthworks closely following the contours on the north facing slopes east of Waddon Barton.
The visible earthworks do not correspond with any field boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but are in keeping with the surrounding field pattern. They are interpreted as evidence of field boundaries of medieval origin that were cleared prior to circa 1840.
