A substantial, flat-topped earthwork bank, circa 5 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. It appears to enclose a subrectangular area, with trackways leading to it from its north, east and south corners, and linking it in two places to the road on the east. It may be the D-shaped enclosure mentioned in MDV7796, and certainly overlies and may have impacted the watermeadow earthworks in this location. A U-shaped structure, circa 6 metres across, is visible on the 1940s photographs immediately to the north of the east corner, and resembles a Second World War structure, but is depicted on the late-19th century mapping. However it is possible that the banks and trackways are Second World War in date, perhaps associated with the dumping of materials mentioned in MDV7796. The trackway leading to the south corner is 14 metres across in parts which suggests it was deliberately widened, lending some support to this interpretation.
