Cropmarks of a bank and ditch are visible.

A ditch and bank defined enclosure of probable later prehistoric to Roman date is visible as subtle cropmarks on aerial photographs of 1946 on the south west facing slopes north east of Lower Dunscombe farm, Chudleigh. The visible cropmarks define a bank up to circa 2.5m wide with a narrower external ditch, enclosing a D-shaped area approximately 35m across.
The cropmark was not noted on any later images available to the survey.
