Linear and curvilinear ditches or hollows are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017 as slight earthworks on the south-east facing slopes east of Gappah Farm, Kingsteignton.
The earthwork hollows are up to circa 7m wide, and defined rectilinear and curvilinear enclosures along the combe slopes for about 160m. The earthworks do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but are in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern. They are interpreted as the remains of former field boundaries possibly of medieval to post-medieval origin that were removed prior to circa 1840.
