38 Flint artefacts were found (by a D.Lloyd, 13B, St.Lawrence Lane, Ashburton) on a building site opposite the Palace Hotel (sic) in Lydwell Road, Torquay, in March 1978. The flints include 1 possible core, a few scrapers, two thumbnail scrapers, blades and a number of other flakes, all of late neolithic type; they were found in a house foundation trench c 1m wide x 2m deep
