Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.

A boundary stone is situated on the south side of Newton Road beside a larger stone (SX86NE/80). The stone is granite with a rounded head and curved back. It is engraved with the 0.95m high intials "S M C" as in St Marychurch. This part of the boundary is common to Kingskerswell and the historic parish of St Marychurch (subsequently the Torquay boundary). The stone measures a maximum height of 0.35m, and is 0.30m wide and 0.17m deep. The date of erection of the stone must be before 1892 as St Marychurch became part of the Borough of Torquay in that year.[No source is given by the inherited Devon County SMR record although the nature of the description suggests that it was one of Louise Gallant's site visits and descriptions.][1][2]
