Blackler's Quarry at Petit Tor was an important source of Devonshire marble.

The quarry appears on all large OS surveys from the First edition OS 1:1250 of 1862 to the third edition of 1933. It is disused by 1968. A limekiln (SX96NW/44/1) attached to the quarry is shown in 1862 but is absent entirely by 1904. Grant's Marble Works are 850m WNW of the Quarry.
